Pink Ice is a protea variety, which is characterized by semi-bushy growth; it is a perennial plant with an approximate productive time of 10 years; its propagation is carried out asexually by cuttings rooted in inert substrate.

Phenologically, the plant presents a purely vegetative initial period that lasts 15 months, then it enters its reproductive phase with the appearance of flowers; From this period until the end of its productive life there is a phenological overlap (vegetative/reproductive) with semi-annual production peaks.

It exhibits specific morphological characteristics of the proteaceae family such as tall stems that reach 70 cm, partially lignified that give rise to a single staminate flower; presents alternate oblong dark green leaves with light green ribs, characterized by having a high density of trichomes both on the has and the underside.

The flower is composed of overlapping pink petals that cover stamens with cream-colored filaments and violet-colored anthers; this mix of colors make this flower very visually appealing.

Due to its previously described morphological characteristics, this flower has an extended vase life, however the use of sugars in the hydrating solution prolongs its used time.
