They are adapted to cold places and rainy forests and are characterized by having intensely colored bracts and beautiful leaf’s. They bloom at different times of year from autumn to spring and grows in poor, well-drained, acidic soils.

Proteas de la Sabana is a new company in Colombia, dedicated to the beautiful family of Proteas. With 10 different varieties of Leucadendron, Leucospermum and Proteas we send flowers to most demanding clients over the world.

The name Proteas comes from Greek mythology. Proteus an early prophetic sea-god or god of rivers and oceanic bodies of water, one of several deities whom Homer calls the “Old Man of the Sea” He means the firstborn, the firs, the number 1…. We aim to be like Proteus… the first reference in exotic flowers in the world.
